"Therefore
if any man be in
Christ, he is a new
creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." (2 Corinthians 5:17). God is
the God of transformations. This is one of his best characters. As we are his
children, he wants to see changes in our lives. God wants us to promote from
one stage to another. We as a human being sometime don't love transformations.
We don't feel comfortable to leave our comfort zone. Sometime we love to stay
where we are. We enjoy what we are and what we do. But God's plan for us always
is to promote us in his glory for his glory.
There is a "Zero" points between the
Old and New things. That Zero stage is very hard to bear. That's where God
tests our faith. This is the time of tests. That's where we make testimony out
of this test or we fall. In this today's blog we are going to meditate about
the Zero stage between old and new things. In the Bible we see many instances
of zero stage. Let's see few examples from the Word of God.
Abraham was living a prosperous life in Ur. He
was rich. He was with his beautiful families and relatives. He had good
business. Then God called him to leave his family, business, his country and go
to somewhere else. "Now the LORD had
said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from
thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee."- Genesis 12:1.
Abraham had to leave all his old things and come into the Zero before his new
blessings. Abraham accepted the call from God and left his country and went to
Canaan. He tested him in many ways. God promised him to give a nation but gave
him a son in the age of one hundreds. Then he ordered him to offer Isaac as a
sacrifice. Abraham moved from place to place to live. He hadn't his own land
and country. He suffered a lot in this zero stage. Then God blessed him a lot.
Job was one of the richest person of his time.
He was enjoying his richness with his beautiful family. He was a respectable
man of his time. Then God decided to take him in another stage. And as usual
Job also had to go through this Zero stage. He lost all his wealth. He lost his
children. His own people turned against him. He got sick. This zero stage was
too much for him that even he desired to die. But he never removed his faith
from God and proved himself before God. And in his new life he received
everything again. Not in the same portion but in the double portion.
Many more examples are in the Bible. Old things
will be gone, new things will come, but before this "Zero" stage is
there. You may not see any future. You may see only darkness before you. Feelings of sadness, sorrows, low selfesteem may come into lives. Uncertainties will be before you. But this is the time of test that will turned
you into a testimony. Keeping and preserving faith in this zero stage is very
important. This is what Apostle Paul says, "I
have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the
faith:"-2 Timothy 4:7. Fighting a good fight, keeping the faith is
very important in this stage. Let's finish this Zero stage's race before
receiving this new glory. Amen.
